Mark - Silver Desk Clock

I was very impressed with the care and thoroughness of the service provided. It is clear that this business has a great love of and expertise in clocks and timepieces. After a detailed read-out of what was needed/advised, a family clock of mine that had not worked for years was overhauled and lovingly restored and now ticks and chimes away beautiful. Old fashioned, unhurried and unpressured personal service, from a master of the craft.

Nigel - Enicar Wristwatch

James was great and very happy with his work. I have a vintage Enicar Jet from the mid 1960s. James did a great job on its service, and it now keeps great time. In addition, he was able to successfully replace the crystal - which is particularly difficult for this watch with an internal bezel. I would highly recommend.

Luke - Omega Wristwatch

James serviced and repaired a 50 year old watch for me. His communication with me was excellent, the cost was good value and he had done a great job of smartening up the watch. When I picked up the watch he talked me through the process and how to look after the watch for the future. Would recommend.

Andrew - Aquastar Regate Wristwatch

I found my late father’s old sailing watch whilst clearing his things. After doing a bit of research I realised it was worth restoring but was struggling to find any one to help.
I then found James Harris and sent him the watch. He advised that he could restore, was very clear on how much it would cost and kept me updated through the process.
The watch was returned fully working and it’s a great keep sake for the family
I could not recommend more highly

David - Longcase Clock

James cleaned and restored a 200 year old long-case clock to perfect working order, after a period of at least 40 years when it had had no attention. This work included restoring the face to its original condition and replacing long lost parts. Consequently, the clock is now in its original working order. The restoration was very sensitively undertaken, so that the clock works perfectly, though its age is acknowledged.

Consequently I would unhesitatingly recommend Harris Horology for restoring clocks.

Chris - Omega Wristwatch

James serviced a 1940s Omega for me that hadn't seen the right side of a watchmakers bench for a very long time - before taking in the watch he talked through the work to be completed, advised what would be possible, timescale and cost. The watch was returned faster than expected, fully serviced, running perfectly, and all at a very reasonable price. A thoroughly reassuring and professional service!
